WHISTLERING DIXIE!!
Hello all!!

I know it's been an unforgivably long time since I last posted. I won't bother to excuse myself. Instead I shall try and answer some of the questions posed to me recently and I will attempt to catch you all up on where I've been and what I've been doing. - pause to eat a bowl of froot loops and review posted comments -

Okay, a little overwhelmed by questions, so I'll start with where I've been/what I've been up to. I have recently (Since August) been living in Whistler. From August to December I was attending Capilano College at the Squamish campus. In December I completed the Wilderness Leadership Program and am now enjoying the cheap student season pass to Whistler/Blackcomb. I ski and snowboard and have a few part time jobs which pay for the beer. All in all, I'm living the good life.

As far as my acting career is concerned, I'm still technically in the game, though I had to put everything on hold while I was going to school and so I've only been to one audition in the last six months or so. I'll keep you posted though.

Now, beer. I like most beers. I have a few favourite local beers, and mostly I like European beer. Kilkenny and Guinness are a few of my Euro-favourites. German beer is exceptionally good and, from what I hear, extremely well priced over there.

Anyone looking to get into acting professionally should know that it is a serious commitment and requires extreme flexibility in scheduling and you must be willing to take on other work when the industry is slow or not looking your way. And trust me, it's not unusual for either to happen, nor is it unusual for both to happen at once. Just hang in there, believe in yourself and your abilities, and be active in seeking out roles that you think will suit you or provide you with an appropriate challenge.

That's all for now folks,

Peace n' Fuv
Katie

Hey thanks for the kind words on german beer. I wonder if i can work out a way to get you some. Perhaps the price ration for shipping is better with a keg than with bottles.

I did a quick lookup on the Wilderness Leadership program and it sounds excellent. Like something cool and rewarding to do. I would do it.

Your absence here is ok. And your absence from acting. Goes without question that College comes first

Yay! Another update! :D
Yes. German beer is pretty cheap over here and as a matter of fact most Germans don't like foreign beer at all. There's even some very local beer patriotism in some of the beer cities.

You're right, it was quite a long time but don't worry. I don't have any problem with that, looks like you were very busy in the last few months.

I hope you liked your froot loops (((I don't like them very much))). Thanks for the words on German beer.

And before I forget: Happy New Year.

Kevin

Speaking of Whistler/Blackcomb, how psyched are you for 2010?! :D Have you seen the volunterness... ness?

Amen on the Guinness.

Thanks and fuv for the update.

Hey K8ie,

How was your birthday, Got any cool gifts or gone on any dangerous adventures? ;)

I'm making this reply in an effort to help a guy called loki (few replies up) find out if the agency got his gift.

That is, If your still with Pacific Artists.
I could be wrong but I'm getting the sense you've moved on to other things? (Like survivaling and some behind the scenes stuff here and there.)

Anyways, Drop us a line when you've got some time.

Be safe,
Angel :)

I haven't received anything from my agency yet Loki, but I'll keep an eye out. Thank you so much for thinking of me. I'll let you know when it comes. You really don't need to send me presents, but it's very sweet.

Peace n' Fuv

ahhh beer. wonderful stuff. I've always been a sam adams kinda girl but i recently moved to LA an became enamored with Corona. My family is big on St. Pauli Girl and then of course you have Mikes hard lemonade (or limeade if you are like me) which is like beer (or is) but not really. It's a little complex. Anyway, I thought I would stop by and comment your fantabulous page.
By the way: love the word squamish. might consider going there just for the name.
Oh and there was a point to this post I swear...
Wait for it

oh yeah... are you subscribing to the popular cult that people (myself included) are spending the good years of their lives on ie. myspace, facebook, et al.
Good to read your updates.
Talk to you later

Wanted to send kudos, I read some of your older posts and you mentioned Buffy. Best show ever. Well, in my humble opinion anyway.
Keep it real.

You're the actress Katie Stuart? I've been a fan of yours since I saw you on the Crow when I was a kid. Glad to hear your acting career is just on hold, keep up the good work.

My friends who've been to Europe all swear by German beer so you have good taste in beer, though I prefer Mexican beer.
